woo hoo! we made it! 24 hours of blogging and $501 for love146! thank you SO MUCH to everyone who pledged and raised an amount that i could not have even imagined reaching! you all rock my world!

also, thank you to those who stopped by to say hello. random comments are always a good thing.

and, last but definitely not least, thank you to erik, shellie, and adrienne for getting me through the more difficult portion of the ‘thon during the wee hours of the night. you’re awesome.

i’m very glad i did it, but i’m also definitely glad it’s over. now it’s time to get some sleep. see you next year!

erik and adrienne both woke up briefly but are now back to sleep. i went through our bedroom to use the bathroom and it’s so nice and dark and quiet in there. i’m glad i get to pass out in just over a half hour!

our conversation has fallen back down on the totem pole again and we’ve reverted to talking about teeth grinding and other completely useless things. i’m so glad there’s only a half hour to go.

we’ve moved on to sweatshops and how difficult it is to find products that aren’t made in sweatshops. even simple things like chocolate…..the majority of chocolate sold in stores these days came from cocoa farms that use slave labor. by making simple decisions by choosing to buy fair trade chocolate, consumers can make a difference!

and this post sounds a little more coherent and is a little more on topic.

yay! we’re chatting about love146 denver stuff! i think this was one of our goals for the night, so we’re getting to it. i think we both have a lot of visions for our group and what we want it to become and it’s good to talk about them and dream about what it can become.

it makes me excited.

the topic of conversation now is blocked nasal passages. i tried to type deviated septums but my spell checked is saying that septums is not a word. i have read this last sentence five times outloud.

shellie says i should end this entry now. she said there is a definite decline in quality of my entries since the blogathon started. i would have to agree with her.

5 am! woo hoo!

we’re talking about people in our past now. things we’ve been through, mostly in high school…..how we cope. late night conversations are good for things like this. there’s a certain level of honesty that goes with being up this late as well. not that i’m not honest the rest of the time……so maybe a level of more openness?

i think it’s now officially early morning rather then late at night, so good morning. hope everyone else is sleeping well.

we lost adrienne, which is totally okay because she has to go home and be a mommy after this is all done.

shellie told me that i should write about how comfortable my air mattress is and how it never deflates, both of which are true. i’ll be glad when i can actually go to sleep on it.

three more hours!

i should look around at other sites to see what other people are talking about this late at night….or early in the morning. i think if i was by myself and was able to concentrate more, it would probably be easier for me to come up with things….but now it’s really just a rehash of whatever conversations we’re currently having. i think next year i’ll have more posts prepared before the actual ‘thon just so i can have more content. i did want to write more about love146 and shellie had some good ideas about different topics, but those may have to wait until next year.

we’re now getting into theological discussions about pilgrim’s progress and first john. it’s amazing where conversations can go at this hour, especially with my two best friends….my two sisters. i’m so glad they’re here.

aw. i’m getting all sentimental this early in the morning. i wonder what the next post will bring….hmmm…..
